Pepe coin price in BRL, live and local

The Pepe coin price in BRL is in the widget at the top of this page. It converts the live PEPE rate into reais and shows how many tokens R$100, R$500 or R$1,000 would buy. We keep live numbers out of the text, because a meme coin price goes stale in minutes.

For a sense of scale: on 13 October 2026 Mercado Bitcoin and Foxbit both quoted PEPE at about R$0.0000202. At that snapshot, R$100 would have bought roughly 4.95 million PEPE before fees. That’s the fun of a token with a 420.69 trillion supply: small amounts of reais turn into millions of frogs. It also means the number of tokens tells you nothing about value. Our PEPE calculator does the conversion for any amount.

Brazil is one of the few countries where PEPE has its own BRL order books on several exchanges. Each sets its own PEPE/BRL price from local buyers and sellers, so it can sit slightly above or below the global reference. Compare the exchange quote with the widget before a big order. Our PEPE price page explains where reference prices come from and how to read market cap.

Is PEPE legal in Brazil? The Central Bank rules

Yes, buying and holding PEPE is legal. What changed in 2026 is the rulebook for the companies that sell it to you. Law 14.478/2022 named the Banco Central do Brasil (BCB) as supervisor of virtual asset service providers. On 10 November 2025 the BCB published three resolutions that fill in the details, and they came into force on 2 February 2026:

  • Resolution 519 sets out how brokers, DTVMs and the new SPSAVs (sociedades prestadoras de serviços de ativos virtuais) get authorised.
  • Resolution 520 covers how SPSAVs are set up and run. Its annex even sets minimum standards for how an exchange chooses which tokens to list, which is relevant to a meme coin like PEPE.
  • Resolution 521 treats some crypto activity, such as international payments and transfers, as foreign-exchange operations. Reporting of international transfers started on 4 May 2026.

The dates that matter most to buyers are in Resolution 520. Firms already operating had 270 days from 2 February to file with the BCB, which works out to about 30 October 2026. Under article 23, foreign companies serving Brazilians must move those operations and clients to an authorised Brazilian institution within the same window. Article 91 bars BCB-authorised banks and payment institutions from dealing with unauthorised providers. The text shows an original date of 30 October 2026, amended to 6 November 2026. Some outlets reported an “October 20” deadline; the resolution text doesn’t support that.

How to buy Pepe coin in Brazil: where it trades

We checked exchange APIs on 13 October 2026. Three venues had live PEPE/BRL markets. We could not confirm the BCB authorisation status of any of them, which is normal for now because the filing window was still open. It’s still worth asking your exchange directly.

Mercado Bitcoin lists PEPE-BRL as an active market in its public v4 API. Foxbit has a live pepebrl ticker and was named as the destination for Digitra’s retail clients when Digitra left retail. Binance shows PEPEBRL with status TRADING. Kraken, popular elsewhere, has no BRL pair at all. Buy Pepe coin with Pix

Pix is why buying PEPE in Brazil feels quicker than almost anywhere else. Press reports citing BCB statistics put Pix at about 80 billion transactions in 2025 and 36.3 billion in January to May 2026. More than 170 million people had used it in 2026, and a daily record of 318.1 million transactions was reported in September 2026. Every Brazilian exchange worth using accepts it.

In practice, you copy the exchange’s Pix key or scan its QR code, send reais from your own bank, and the balance usually shows up in seconds. Two rules make it painless. Always send from an account in your own name, matching your CPF, because exchanges can reject third-party deposits. And never pay a Pix key that a stranger gives you in a chat for “cheap PEPE”. Pix payments are fast and very hard to reverse, which is exactly why scammers like them.

Buying PEPE in Brazil step by step

  1. Pick a Brazilian exchange with PEPE/BRL

Mercado Bitcoin, Foxbit and Binance all ran live PEPE/BRL markets on 13 Oct 2026. Before you choose, check whether the firm has filed for BCB authorisation.

  2. Verify with your CPF

Sign up with your CPF and a photo ID. Brazilian exchanges need them for identity checks and Receita Federal reporting.

  3. Deposit reais by Pix

Use the exchange’s Pix key or QR code, sending from a bank account in your own name. Many exchanges reject deposits from someone else’s account.

  4. Buy PEPE in BRL

Search for PEPE and check the pair says PEPE/BRL. A limit order lets you set your price instead of taking whatever the book offers.

  5. Track your monthly sales

Keep a note of each sale in reais. The R$35,000 monthly exemption is based on total crypto sales, not on profit.

Once you own PEPE, you can leave it on the exchange or move it to your own wallet. PEPE is an Ethereum token, so withdraw on the Ethereum network to an address that supports ERC-20 tokens. Our PEPE wallet guide covers MetaMask and hardware wallets, and the general how to buy PEPE guide explains card and DEX routes.

PEPE tax in Brazil and the DeCripto report

Brazil’s crypto tax rules hinge on one number: R$35,000 in total crypto sales per month. If your sales across all coins in a calendar month stay at or below that, the gain is exempt. Cross it and the gain is taxed at progressive capital-gains rates of 15% to 22.5%, paid by DARF (code 4600) by the last business day of the following month. Assets held through foreign platforms follow a different rule: a flat 15% under Lei 14.754/2023.

Assets on foreign platforms15% flatLei 14.754/2023
Holdings with cost of R$5,000 or moreDeclare in IRPFBens e Direitos, Grupo 08

You may have read that the exemption was ending. Provisional measure MP 1.303/2025 proposed a flat 17.5% rate and no exemption, but it was dropped from the agenda on 8 October 2025 and lapsed. The R$35,000 rule is still in force.

Reporting changed separately. Receita Federal’s IN RFB 2.291 of 14 November 2025 created the DeCripto declaration, aligned with the OECD’s CARF standard. It replaces IN 1.888/2019, which was revoked from 1 July 2026, and monthly filing via e-CAC started in July 2026. Brazilian exchanges report for you, but if you use a foreign exchange or no exchange at all, you must report yourself in any month your operations exceed R$35,000. Receita says DeCripto changes reporting, not taxation. In your annual IRPF return, crypto goes under Bens e Direitos, Grupo 08, for holdings that cost R$5,000 or more. The 2026 IRPF deadline was 29 May 2026.

CEX.IO in Brazil: available, with a deadline

This site’s buttons open CEX.IO, so here’s the honest status. Brazil is not on CEX.IO’s unsupported-countries list, and Brazilian users are served by CEX OVRS LLC, registered in Nevis. CEX.IO has run since 2013, holds NMLS registration #1804170 in the US and an FCA anti-money-laundering registration in the UK (firm 1007192). But it has no BRL pair and no Pix: PEPE trades there only against USD, USDT and USDC.

The bigger issue is the BCB timetable. Resolution 520 requires foreign providers to move Brazilian clients to an authorised local entity by about 30 October 2026 and cuts them off from Brazilian banks from 30 October or 6 November. We could not confirm whether CEX.IO has applied or made arrangements. For most Brazilians, a local PEPE/BRL exchange with Pix is the simpler route anyway. If you use any foreign platform, check its availability notice first.

Local tips for Brazilian frens

2026 is a reshuffle year. NovaDAX, Digitra’s retail arm and Coinext have all left Brazil ahead of the BCB regime. Before you park money on any exchange, check that it is still accepting deposits and has said publicly what it’s doing about authorisation.

Check the token. Brazilian exchanges, like everyone else, sometimes list tokens with “Pepe” in the name that aren’t PEPE. The real one is the Ethereum token with the contract ending in ...1933. Pepecoin (PEP) is a different chain entirely; our PEPE vs Pepecoin guide explains the difference, and our PEPE safety guide covers drainers and fake sites.

Brazil is a crypto heavyweight. Chainalysis ranked Brazil #5 worldwide in its 2025 Global Crypto Adoption Index. Few countries have more local BRL order books for a meme coin. Compare with buying PEPE in the USA, where US dollar pairs dominate, or buying PEPE in Spain, where MiCA rules shape which exchanges remain.

Our take

Brazil makes PEPE easy to buy: three BRL order books, Pix in seconds and a generous R$35,000 monthly tax exemption. The risk in late 2026 is the exchange, not the frog. Use a local venue that is clearly going through the BCB process, and keep your monthly sales log tidy.

Questions people ask

Where can I see the Pepe coin price in BRL?+

The widget at the top of this page converts the live PEPE price into reais. Mercado Bitcoin, Foxbit and Binance also run PEPE/BRL markets, and their prices can differ slightly from the reference rate because each order book has its own bids and offers.

Can I buy Pepe coin with Pix?+

Yes, indirectly. You deposit reais into a Brazilian exchange by Pix, then buy PEPE on its PEPE/BRL market. Foxbit advertises 24/7 Pix deposits. Check each exchange’s deposit page for current limits.

Is PEPE legal in Brazil?+

Yes. Law 14.478/2022 made the Banco Central do Brasil the supervisor of virtual asset service providers, and its Resolutions 519, 520 and 521 came into force on 2 Feb 2026. The rules govern the exchanges, not your right to hold PEPE.

Do I pay tax on PEPE in Brazil?+

Gains are exempt when your total crypto sales in a month are R$35,000 or less. Above that, domestic gains are taxed at 15% to 22.5% and paid by DARF by the last business day of the next month. Assets held on foreign platforms fall under a flat 15% rule.

What happens to foreign exchanges in Brazil after October 2026?+

BCB Resolution 520 gives foreign firms already serving Brazilians 270 days from 2 Feb 2026, about 30 Oct 2026, to move clients to an authorised Brazilian entity. From 30 Oct or 6 Nov 2026, depending on the text version, authorised banks may not deal with unauthorised VASPs.

Is NovaDAX still an option for PEPE?+

No. NovaDAX announced on 8 Jun 2026 that it was shutting down in Brazil. Sign-ups and buy orders stopped that day and crypto withdrawals ran until 30 Sep 2026.
