Not the official PEPE website
pepecoin.finance is an independent editorial project. It is not the official website of Pepe (PEPE), it does not speak for the token, and it cannot change anything about it. The PEPE project’s own site is pepe.vip. The token contract on Ethereum is 0x6982508145454Ce325dDbE47a25d4ec3d2311933, which you can inspect on Etherscan.
Our domain name contains the word “pepecoin”, which is also the name of other, unrelated projects. We are not connected to Pepecoin (PEP), the separate proof-of-work chain, or to the 2016 PepeCoin project. Our PEPE vs Pepecoin explainer sets out the differences.
No affiliation
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the anonymous team that deployed PEPE, by Matt Furie, the artist who created Pepe the Frog for the comic Boy’s Club, or by any cryptocurrency exchange, wallet or data provider. Matt Furie is not involved with the PEPE token, and nothing on this site should be read as suggesting he is.
Our buttons link to CEX.IO. That is our own editorial choice to offer a next step, not a partnership or endorsement deal, and it does not mean CEX.IO is the right platform for you. Read our editorial policy for how we keep coverage independent.
No financial, investment, tax or legal advice
Everything on pepecoin.finance is general information for educational purposes. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold PEPE or any other asset. We don’t know your finances, goals or risk tolerance, and we are not licensed advisers.
Price scenarios on pages like our PEPE price prediction or 1-cent math are arithmetic exercises, not forecasts or promises. Tax rules summarised on our country pages are simplified and change often. Before you act, check with the official tax authority in your country or a qualified professional.
Meme-coin risk
PEPE is a meme coin. It has no product, no revenue, no dividends and no team you can hold accountable, and its price is driven largely by attention, sentiment and liquidity. On 27 February 2025, staff at the US Securities and Exchange Commission said that typical meme coins are not securities. That was a statement about securities law, not a safety rating, and it also means buyers generally don’t get the protections that securities laws provide.
PEPE’s price history includes steep falls as well as spikes. Supply is concentrated in a relatively small number of addresses, many of them exchanges, and large transfers can move the market. Fake tokens using the PEPE name are common. Exchanges can be hacked, freeze withdrawals or delist tokens. Our PEPE safety check covers these risks in more depth.
Third-party data
Live prices, charts and conversion rates on this site come from third-party public APIs, including CoinGecko, the Binance public data API and public currency-rate services. We don’t control those services and can’t guarantee that their data is accurate, complete or current. Prices on a given exchange will differ from the figures shown here because of spreads, fees and liquidity. If a source is unavailable, we hide the number rather than estimate it.
Static facts in our articles are checked against sources and dated, but facts change. We may not catch every change straight away. Always confirm important details, such as fees, licences and contract addresses, at the original source before you rely on them.
External links
We link to exchanges, regulators, block explorers, news outlets and other sites so you can check our work. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, security, privacy practices or availability. A link is not an endorsement. Before you enter any personal data or connect a wallet, make sure you’re on the genuine site: type the address yourself or use a bookmark. Our PEPE wallet guide explains how to spot drainer sites.
Exchange availability varies by country
Whether you can buy PEPE, and where, depends on where you live. Rules, licences and listings differ from country to country and change over time. CEX.IO, for example, does not serve India or Canada, is closed to new sign-ups in the EU and EEA, and its own buy-PEPE page says PEPE is not available to US-based users. Other platforms have their own restrictions. You are responsible for checking that a service is legal and available where you live and for following local rules, including tax reporting. Our guides by country and exchange comparison are a starting point, not legal clearance.
Trademarks
