The short version
This privacy policy applies to pepecoin.finance, an independent information site about Pepe (PEPE), in all its language versions. We built the site to work without knowing who you are. There are no user accounts, no comment forms, no newsletters and no advertising trackers. When you visit, your browser loads our pages from our host and fetches live market data directly from a few public data providers. A small amount of data is stored on your own device to make the widgets faster. That’s about it.
The rest of this page explains each of those points in detail, so you can check for yourself. This policy was last updated on 13 October 2026.
What we collect
We do not ask you for your name, email address, wallet address or any other personal details to use the site. We don’t run user accounts, and we don’t sell, rent or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
The personal data we may handle is limited to two things: the technical request data that any web server receives (see hosting logs), and whatever you choose to send us by email (see when you email us). We never ask for seed phrases, private keys or exchange logins, and you should never send them to anyone.
Cookies and tracking
We currently use no tracking cookies and no analytics cookies. We don’t use advertising pixels, social media trackers or fingerprinting scripts. Because of this, you won’t see a cookie consent banner on our site.
If we ever decide to add analytics, we will update this policy first, explain which tool we use and what it collects, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Storage on your device
Some interactive features use your browser’s built-in storage, sessionStorage and localStorage. This data stays on your device. It is never sent to us, and we can’t read it.
We use it for two things only. First, caching live prices: when a widget fetches the PEPE price or currency rates, the result is stored briefly so the next page you open doesn’t have to fetch everything again. Second, the buying-quest checklist: on pages such as the how-to-buy guide, the boxes you tick are remembered on your device so your progress survives a reload.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser’s settings for site data. Private or incognito windows usually discard it when you close them. The site works without it, just a little slower.
Third-party API calls from your browser
Our live widgets, like the charts on the PEPE price page and the PEPE calculator, don’t get their numbers from our server. Your browser requests them directly from the public data providers below.
| Provider | Domain | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| CoinGecko | api.coingecko.com | PEPE price, market cap, volume, coin data |
| Binance data API | data-api.binance.vision | Price charts and 24h market data |
| jsDelivr currency API | cdn.jsdelivr.net | Currency rates for local prices |
| open.er-api.com | open.er-api.com | Backup currency rates |
Because your browser connects to these providers directly, they receive the technical data that comes with any web request: your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, the time of the request and, in some cases, the referring page. No personal details from us are added to these requests. Each provider handles that data under its own privacy policy, which we link to in the sources below. If you would rather not contact them, you can block these domains with a content blocker. The live numbers will be hidden, and the rest of the page will still work.
Hosting logs
Like every website, pepecoin.finance is served by a hosting provider whose servers automatically record basic request logs. These logs typically include your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the browser’s user-agent and the response status. They are used for security, to stop abuse and to keep the site running. We don’t use them to profile visitors or combine them with other data. They are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider and then deleted.
The legal basis for this processing under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f)).
When you email us
If you write to support@pepecoin.finance, we receive your email address, your name if you include it and the contents of your message. We use this only to reply, and to fix a page if you report an error. We don’t add you to any mailing list. We keep correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request and keep a reasonable record of corrections, and you can ask us to delete it.
Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. You can ask us whether we hold data about you and get a copy, have it corrected, have it deleted, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a portable format where that applies. Readers elsewhere can make the same requests, and we will honour them where we reasonably can.
Since we hold so little, most requests will concern emails you sent us. To make a request, email support@pepecoin.finance. We may need to ask a question to confirm the request is genuine, and we will reply within the time limits the law sets, normally one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. The European Data Protection Board lists them for EU and EEA countries.
Our site is not aimed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes and contact
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding an analytics tool, we will update this page and its date before the change goes live. Significant changes will be summarised at the top of the page.
