The official Pepe coin contract address
The Pepe coin contract address on Ethereum is 0x6982508145454Ce325dDbE47a25d4ec3d2311933. It is the only address on the official site, pepe.vip, and it matches the token page on Etherscan and the Ethereum entry on CoinGecko. If you remember one thing from this page, make it this: a token is PEPE only if its contract matches this string, character for character. The name, logo and ticker prove nothing, since anyone can copy them in minutes.
The checker in the hero box lets you paste any address and see whether it matches. Use it whenever a wallet, DEX or "airdrop" shows you a PEPE token you didn’t add yourself. Here are the key facts about the contract, all checked on-chain on 13 October 2026.
- Contract
- 0x6982…1933 (Ethereum)
- Standard
- ERC-20
- Decimals
- 18
- Deployed
- 14 April 2023, block 17,046,105
- Owner
- Renounced (zero address)
- Transfer tax
- None in the contract
Because ownership is renounced, nobody can change the contract, mint new tokens or switch on the old blacklist and holding-limit functions that still sit in the code. That is good for holders, but it also means nobody can reverse a mistaken transfer. Sending PEPE to the wrong address is final. More detail on supply and burns is on the PEPE tokenomics page.
What network is Pepe coin on?
PEPE is an Ethereum token. That answers most "what network is Pepe coin on" questions, but not all of them, because bridged copies exist on other chains. CoinGecko maps three: one on BNB Chain, one on Arbitrum and one on Avalanche. They are wrapped representations created by locking Ethereum PEPE in a bridge, and together they hold well under 0.2% of all PEPE.
| Chain | Contract (short) | Supply on chain | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ethereum (original) | 0x6982…1933 | About 420.69T | The real PEPE |
| BNB Chain | 0x25d8…bb00 | About 480.7B | Bridged copy |
| Arbitrum One | 0x25d8…bb00 | About 131.3B | Bridged copy |
| Avalanche C-Chain | 0xa659…be6d | About 13.1B | Bridged copy |
| Solana | None | None | Any PEPE there is unofficial |
Why does this matter for your wallet? Because the same Ethereum-style address works on Ethereum, BNB Chain and Arbitrum, but the balances on each chain are separate. If an exchange sends you BNB Chain PEPE and your wallet is looking at Ethereum, you will see nothing, and you will think the tokens are lost. They aren’t, they are just on another network. The reverse mistake is worse: depositing Ethereum PEPE to an exchange address set up for another chain can mean a long support ticket or a permanent loss. Solana is a separate trap. There is no official PEPE on Solana at all, so every Solana token called PEPE is a copycat. The Pepe clones guide covers the most common ones, and if a wallet offers you “Pepecoin” on its own chain, that is the separate PEP coin explained in PEPE vs Pepecoin.
Choosing a Pepe coin wallet
Any wallet that handles Ethereum tokens can hold PEPE, so the choice is about how you use it. A software wallet like MetaMask or Trust Wallet is free, quick and good for small balances or for swapping on Uniswap. A hardware wallet like Ledger or Tangem keeps your private keys on a device that never touches the internet, which is what you want for an amount you would hate to lose.
| Wallet | Type | Holds Ethereum PEPE | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| MetaMask | Browser and mobile app | Yes, via import | Most common for Uniswap swaps |
| Trust Wallet | Mobile app | Yes, via custom token | Pick Ethereum as the network |
| Ledger | Hardware | Yes, on an Ethereum account | Keys stay offline |
| Tangem | Hardware card | Yes | Also lists BNB, Arbitrum, Avalanche |
| Coinbase Wallet | Mobile and browser | Yes, on Ethereum | Separate from a Coinbase account |
| Phantom | Mobile and browser | Yes, on its Ethereum account | Solana-first; do not use Solana PEPE |
A word on Phantom and Coinbase Wallet. Phantom started on Solana and now also manages Ethereum accounts. That is fine for PEPE, as long as you hold the Ethereum token and not one of the Solana look-alikes. Coinbase Wallet is a self-custody app that is separate from a Coinbase exchange account, so PEPE you buy on the exchange stays on the exchange until you send it over.

How to add PEPE to MetaMask
MetaMask often detects popular tokens on its own, but its auto-detection relies on community token lists, not a list MetaMask has vetted. Importing PEPE by contract address is the safe way to make it appear. These are the steps based on the MetaMask help centre.
Switch to Ethereum Mainnet
Open MetaMask and make sure the network selector shows Ethereum, not BNB Chain, Base or a testnet.
Open the token import screen
On the browser extension, open the tokens section menu and choose to manage or import tokens. On mobile, tap the plus button in the tokens section.
Paste the official contract
Use the Custom token tab and paste 0x6982508145454Ce325dDbE47a25d4ec3d2311933. Copy it from Etherscan, CoinGecko or the box at the top of this page, never from a DM.
Check the details and import
MetaMask should fill in the symbol PEPE and 18 decimals by itself. If it shows anything else, stop and re-check the address.
Once PEPE shows up, keep some ETH in the same account. You can receive PEPE without ETH, but you cannot send or swap it, because every Ethereum transaction pays gas in ETH. How much you need depends on network traffic, so check the fee preview before you confirm. If you plan to buy through Uniswap instead of an exchange, the how to buy PEPE guide walks through the swap.
No PEPE to import yet?Check availability in your country first: CEX.IO does not serve India or Canada, takes no new EU/EEA sign-ups and does not offer PEPE to US users.
Grab some PEPEPEPE in Trust Wallet, Ledger and Tangem
Trust Wallet. Trust Wallet’s own guide to custom tokens has you open the asset management screen, tap the plus button, choose the network and paste the contract address. For PEPE, the network must be Ethereum. Picking BNB Smart Chain by accident is the most common reason "my Pepe coin in Trust Wallet is missing" posts show up on forums. Trust Wallet also stresses copying the address from official sources, not from random sites.
Ledger. Ledger has no separate PEPE app, and doesn’t need one. ERC-20 tokens run on Ethereum, so you add an Ethereum account in Ledger Live and receive PEPE to that account’s address. Ledger says every ERC-20 token can be stored through its Ethereum app. When you send PEPE out, the transaction is confirmed on the device’s screen, which is the whole point: a hacked laptop cannot sign for you. Check the receive address on the Ledger display, not just on your computer.
Tangem. Tangem’s PEPE page lists support on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain, Arbitrum and Avalanche. That flexibility is handy, but it means you have to pick the right network when adding the token. For PEPE bought on a major exchange, that is almost always Ethereum.

How to withdraw PEPE from an exchange
Moving PEPE from an exchange into your wallet takes four checks: copy your wallet’s Ethereum address, select PEPE in the exchange’s withdrawal screen, choose the Ethereum (ERC-20) network, and send a small test amount first if the balance is large. When the test arrives, send the rest.
Watch the fees and minimums, because they are charged in PEPE and can look alarming. On 13 October 2026, Bitvavo’s API listed a PEPE withdrawal fee of 270,000 PEPE with a 280,000 minimum, on Ethereum only. BtcTurk required at least 250,000 PEPE per withdrawal. Coinbase supports PEPE on Ethereum only, and Robinhood takes the gas cost out of your PEPE balance. At the 13 October price, 270,000 PEPE was worth roughly one US dollar (the PEPE calculator does the math for any amount), so it is not a fortune, but on a tiny balance the fee can eat most of it. Our Bitvavo review and Coinbase review list each exchange’s withdrawal terms in more detail, and the PEPE exchange comparison covers the rest.
Seed phrase safety for PEPE holders
A self-custody wallet is only as safe as its seed phrase, the 12 or 24 words that can rebuild your wallet anywhere. Whoever has those words has your PEPE. Meme coin holders are a favourite target for scammers, because the community lives on social media, where fake "support" accounts and giveaway bots are everywhere.
- Write the seed phrase on paper or metal. No screenshots, no cloud notes, no email drafts.
- Never type it into a website, a form or a chat, whoever asks.
- No wallet, exchange or PEPE team member will ever need your seed phrase.
- Ignore tokens that appear in your wallet unasked, and never visit the links in their names.
- Revoke old token approvals you no longer use with a reputable approval checker.
- Download wallets only from their official sites or app stores.
The December 2025 website drainer incident
Even the official site can turn on you. On 4 December 2025, security firm Blockaid flagged Inferno Drainer code on the official Pepe website’s front end, sending visitors to malicious pages built to empty wallets, according to Cointelegraph. Binance and KuCoin warned their users. The token contract itself was not affected. The attack hit the website, and anyone who connected a wallet and signed what it asked for.
Save the contract address, use a hardware wallet for anything you would mind losing, keep a little ETH for gas, and treat every wallet-connect request as suspicious. That covers most of what goes wrong for PEPE holders. For the wider risk picture, from holder concentration to fake tokens, read is PEPE safe.
Questions people ask
What is the Pepe coin contract address?+
The official PEPE contract on Ethereum is 0x6982508145454Ce325dDbE47a25d4ec3d2311933. It is the only address listed on pepe.vip, and it matches Etherscan and CoinGecko. Any other “PEPE” on Ethereum is a different token.
What network is Pepe coin on?+
PEPE is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Bridged versions exist on BNB Chain, Arbitrum and Avalanche, but together they hold well under 0.2% of supply. There is no official PEPE on Solana, so Solana tokens called PEPE are copycats.
Which wallet is best for Pepe coin?+
Any wallet that supports Ethereum tokens can hold PEPE. MetaMask and Trust Wallet are free and popular for everyday use. A hardware wallet such as Ledger or Tangem keeps the keys offline and suits larger, long-term balances.
Why don’t I see PEPE in my wallet after a transfer?+
Usually the wallet just isn’t displaying the token yet. Make sure you are on the Ethereum network, then import PEPE using the official contract address. If the transaction shows as successful on Etherscan, the tokens are there.
Do I need ETH to send PEPE?+
Yes. Every PEPE transfer from a self-custody wallet pays an Ethereum gas fee in ETH. Keep a small amount of ETH in the same wallet, or you will be able to receive PEPE but not send it.
Can I send PEPE to a BNB Chain address?+
Only if the exchange or wallet explicitly withdraws on BNB Chain, and then you receive the bridged token, not the Ethereum original. Sending Ethereum PEPE to a deposit address meant for another network can lose the funds. Always match the network on both sides.
