The Pepe coin price you see at the top of this page is live: it refreshes from CoinGecko and falls back to Binance if CoinGecko is slow. That part is easy. The harder part is reading it well. PEPE trades at a price with five zeros after the decimal point, its market cap differs between the two big data sites, and the "price" on your exchange is never quite the same as the one on a chart. This page explains all of that, so the next time you check PEPE you know what you are looking at.

One quick ground rule. We never type a live number into the text, because it would be stale by the time you read it. Where a figure helps the explanation, it comes with a date and a source. Everything else lives in the widgets.

Pepe coin price today: live stats

The table below fills itself in when your browser loads the latest market data. If the data feed is down, it stays hidden rather than showing you something old. Use the chart in the header to switch between 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days and a year.

A practical tip: the 24h change is the number everyone screenshots, but it is the least useful one on its own. A 10% move in a coin that regularly swings 10% a day is just a normal Tuesday. Look at it next to volume and the 24h range, which we cover below, and it starts to mean something. If you want the long view, the PEPE price history and all-time high page walks through every major swing since launch.

How the PEPE price is formed and where the quote comes from

There is no official PEPE price. Nobody sets it. Every number you see is the result of buyers and sellers meeting on an exchange. When someone buys PEPE at a slightly higher price than the last trade, the price ticks up. When sellers accept less, it ticks down. Multiply that by hundreds of millions of dollars in daily trading and you get the chart.

PEPE trades in two kinds of venues. Centralised exchanges such as Binance, OKX, Coinbase or BtcTurk run order books, where bids and asks stack up and match. Decentralised exchanges, mainly the original Uniswap V2 PEPE/WETH pool on Ethereum, use a liquidity pool where the price comes from the ratio of PEPE to ETH in the pool. Arbitrage traders keep the two worlds close: if PEPE is cheaper on Uniswap than on Binance, someone buys on one and sells on the other until the gap closes.

Price sites then collect all of this. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap pull trades from dozens of exchanges, weight them by volume and filter out obvious outliers, which is why their number is a blended "global" price rather than any single trade. Our widgets use CoinGecko first and the Binance PEPE/USDT market as a backup, and the stats table above tells you which one answered.

Pepe coin market cap vs FDV vs circulating supply

Market cap is the price of one token multiplied by the circulating supply. Fully diluted valuation, or FDV, is the price multiplied by the maximum supply. For most new tokens the gap between the two matters a lot, because locked team and investor tokens will hit the market later. PEPE is unusual: there are no vesting schedules and no unlocks, because the whole supply was minted at launch in April 2023 and the contract owner has been renounced. On CoinGecko, circulating, total and maximum supply are all the same 420.69 trillion, so market cap and FDV are identical.

CoinMarketCap takes a stricter view. It subtracts the tokens sitting in the 0x…dEaD burn address and the tokens destroyed through the contract's burn function, which leaves about 413.77 trillion in circulation. Same price, smaller supply, so a market cap about 1.6% lower. On 13 October 2026 that was enough to put PEPE at #61 on CoinGecko and #52 on CoinMarketCap, at roughly $1.71 billion and $1.68 billion respectively. Neither site is wrong; they just count differently.

PEPE supply figures used by price sites (Etherscan, CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap, 13 Oct 2026)
Supply measureTokensWhy it differs
CoinGecko circulating420.69TNominal supply, burns not deducted
CoinMarketCap circulating413.77TMinus the dead address and burn() reductions
On-chain totalSupply420.6899TAbout 100B destroyed via burn()
Held at 0x…dEaD6.92TMostly the October 2023 team burn

Why should you care? Because market cap is the only honest way to compare PEPE with other coins or to sanity-check a price target. A token price on its own says nothing; a market cap tells you what the whole network would be worth. That is exactly the math behind our page on whether PEPE can reach 1 cent. For the full breakdown of burns, holder concentration and where the 420.69 trillion came from, read PEPE tokenomics.

Volume and the 24h range: reading the daily swing

Volume is the total value of PEPE traded in the last 24 hours across tracked exchanges. On 13 October 2026, CoinGecko reported about $287 million, which is roughly a sixth of the market cap changing hands in a single day. That is a lot of turnover, and it is typical for a meme coin where traders, not long-term holders, set the tone.

High volume is mostly good news for you as a buyer or seller: it means tight spreads and the ability to trade decent sizes without moving the price. But volume also tells a story about moves. A price jump on rising volume suggests real demand. A jump on thin volume is easier to reverse. A sharp drop on huge volume often means forced selling, for example liquidations on derivatives exchanges.

The 24h range is the lowest and highest price in the last day. On that same October snapshot, PEPE ranged from about $0.00000377 to $0.00000422, a spread of roughly 12% between the bottom and top. That is useful context when you set a limit order: if your target sits inside the usual daily range, it may fill within hours; if it sits far outside, you are betting on a bigger move.

Why the Pepe coin price has so many zeros

Simple arithmetic. PEPE's supply is about 420.69 trillion tokens, a number picked as a joke on 420 and 69. Divide a market cap of a couple of billion dollars by 420 trillion and you land around four millionths of a dollar per token. If PEPE had a supply of 1 billion like many other tokens, the same market cap would give a price of a few dollars. Nothing about the project would be different; only the slicing.

This is also why a low unit price does not mean PEPE is "cheap". A $100 purchase buys you tens of millions of tokens, which feels great, but your share of the total supply is tiny. If you want to see how many tokens a given amount buys, or what 1 million PEPE is worth right now, use the Pepe coin calculator rather than doing the zeros in your head.

The subscript notation: what 0.0₅405 means

Writing 0.00000405 is error-prone, so many sites shorten it to 0.0₅405. The small subscript number counts the zeros between the decimal point and the first real digit. So 0.0₅405 means five zeros, then 405: 0.00000405. Our widgets use the same notation. If you hover over a price in the stats table, the full decimal appears in the tooltip.

0.00000405
0.0₆5
0.0000005
0.0₇55
0.000000055

Count carefully when you copy a price into an exchange order. Typing one zero too many or too few means a limit order ten times off the market. Most exchanges let you enter the amount in USD or USDT instead, which avoids the problem entirely.

Pepe coin price in USD and EUR

PEPE is mostly traded against the US dollar and dollar stablecoins such as USDT and USDC. That is why the USD price is the reference everyone quotes. The euro price you see below is the USD price converted at the live EUR rate, which is how most European apps calculate it too, even when they offer a direct PEPE/EUR market.

If you buy in euros, the exchange rate is a second moving part. A month when PEPE is flat in dollars can still be up or down a few percent for you, simply because EUR/USD moved. European buyers also face a different set of platforms after MiCA, so check the country guides for buying PEPE in Germany or buying PEPE in the Netherlands before you sign up anywhere.

For other currencies, each country page shows a live local price and what a typical local amount buys. See PEPE in Turkish lira, PEPE in Indonesian rupiah or PEPE in Indian rupees, or browse the full list on our PEPE by country hub.

How the PEPE price differs between exchanges

Open three apps at the same second and you will usually see three slightly different PEPE prices. That is normal, and there are four main reasons.

Separate order books. Each exchange matches its own buyers and sellers. The last trade on Binance and the last trade on a local exchange happen at different moments and sizes. On 13 October 2026 around 11:10 UTC, for example, Indodax showed PEPE/IDR at Rp 0.072315 and Pintu at Rp 0.07234858, a gap of under 0.05%. That is what a healthy, arbitraged market looks like.

Spread. The best bid and best ask are never equal. Simple "buy" buttons in broker-style apps often bake a premium into the price you see, so the quote looks higher than on a chart. Bitpanda, for example, says its premium ranges up to 2.49% depending on the asset.

Currency conversion. A PEPE/TRY or PEPE/IDR price includes the local exchange rate and sometimes a local premium when it is hard to move money across borders.

Liquidity. On small exchanges with thin order books, a single large order can push the price several percent. On the biggest venues PEPE is deep enough that this rarely matters for everyday amounts.

The fix is simple: before you buy, compare the final amount of PEPE you will receive after fees, not the headline price. Our PEPE exchange comparison lists where PEPE trades, with pairs and fees, and the step-by-step buying guide shows how to check the order screen before confirming.

Where to check the PEPE price yourself

Our widgets are convenient, but you should never rely on one site. These are the places worth bookmarking:

  • CoinGecko: global blended price, nominal supply, ATH and a full list of markets. Good for a neutral reference.
  • CoinMarketCap: a second aggregator with the stricter 413.77T circulating figure, so a slightly lower market cap.
  • Etherscan: no price feed worth trusting, but the place to verify the contract, total supply, the burn address and the 594,436 holders it counted on 13 October 2026.
  • Your exchange: the only price that matters for a real trade, because it includes the spread and your fee.
  • The chart above: a quick visual of the last day to the last year, in USD or your local currency.

You can open them directly: PEPE on CoinGecko, PEPE on CoinMarketCap and the PEPE token page on Etherscan. If a site shows a PEPE price that is wildly different from all three, assume it is tracking a copycat token, or it is a phishing page.

Our take

The live Pepe coin price is a moving snapshot of what traders are willing to pay this minute, nothing more. Read it with market cap, volume and the daily range, compare platforms on the PEPE you actually receive, and keep long-range guesses where they belong: on our PEPE price prediction page, clearly labelled as scenarios. The official site itself calls PEPE a meme coin with no intrinsic value, so treat every price as sentiment, not a valuation.

Questions people ask

What is the Pepe coin price today?+

The live price sits in the chart and the stats table at the top of this page, pulled from CoinGecko with Binance as a backup. For reference, CoinGecko listed PEPE at about $0.00000405 on 13 October 2026, but meme coins move fast, so always trust the live widget over any number written in an article.

Why does PEPE have such a low price?+

Because there are about 420.69 trillion tokens. The price of one token is simply the total market value divided by that huge supply, so even a multi-billion-dollar market cap works out to a fraction of a cent per coin. A low unit price does not mean PEPE is cheap or undervalued.

What does 0.0₅405 mean in a PEPE price?+

It is subscript notation for small numbers. The small 5 tells you there are five zeros after the decimal point before the first real digit, so 0.0₅405 is the same as 0.00000405. CoinGecko, many exchanges and our widgets use it to keep PEPE prices readable.

Why is PEPE’s market cap different on CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap?+

They count supply differently. CoinGecko uses the nominal 420.69 trillion tokens, while CoinMarketCap subtracts the roughly 6.9 trillion tokens sitting in the dead burn address and about 100 billion destroyed through the burn function, leaving about 413.77 trillion. That alone makes CoinMarketCap’s market cap about 1.6% lower and can shift the rank.

Is pepecoin price the same as Pepe coin price?+

Most people who search “pepecoin price” mean the Ethereum meme token PEPE shown on this page. There is also a separate proof-of-work coin called Pepecoin (PEP) with its own chain and a much smaller market, plus an older 2016 project. Check the ticker and contract before you trade.

Where is the most accurate PEPE price?+

There is no single official price. Aggregators such as CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap average many exchanges, while each exchange shows its own last trade. For a real order, the price that counts is the one in your exchange’s order book at that moment, including its spread and fee.
