Quick verdict
People who search for the Pepe coin price on Pintu usually want two things: to see what PEPE costs in rupiah and to know whether Pintu is a sensible place to buy it. On the first point, the live card above shows a market rupiah quote, and Pintu’s own PEPE page showed almost the same figure as Indodax when we checked on 13 October 2026. On the second, our answer is mostly yes.
Pintu is run by PT Pintu Kemana Saja, an OJK-licensed Digital Financial Asset Trader and a member of the CFX bourse and the KKI clearing house. It was founded in 2020 by Jeth Soetoyo, according to press profiles, and counts Pantera Capital, Coinbase Ventures and Intudo among its investors. It publishes its Pro trading fees in full, charges a flat Rp 4,500 to withdraw rupiah and keeps assets with a licensed custodian and Fireblocks. We found no reported security breach.
Two things stop it scoring higher. The fee inside the simple Pintu app, where most beginners buy, is not published, and neither is the cost of withdrawing PEPE. Our score is 7.8 out of 10, ahead of Indodax’s 7.0 in our Indodax review. For the wider local picture, see buying PEPE in Indonesia.
Pepe coin price in IDR on Pintu
Pintu shows PEPE in two places. The main app is a simple buy-and-sell screen with a single rupiah price. Pintu Pro is the order-book view, where the pair is listed as PEPE_IDR and you can place limit orders. Pintu’s market page advertises “Buy Pepe starting from Rp 11,000”, and the limits table confirms an Rp 11,000 minimum per purchase.
Because one PEPE is worth a small fraction of a rupiah, the Pepe coin price in IDR on Pintu runs to several decimals. Don’t let that distract you; what matters is the rupiah amount you spend and the fee you pay. If you want to translate an amount, say Rp 500,000, into a number of PEPE, our PEPE calculator does the conversion with a live rate.
The token Pintu sells is the Ethereum ERC-20 PEPE, which is also on the CFX bourse list as asset PEPE-915. Licensed Indonesian traders may only offer listed assets, which gives you some comfort that you’re not buying an unvetted copycat. The listing date on Pintu could not be confirmed.

Pintu review: how we scored it
We score six areas equally and round the average. Only facts we could check count in a platform’s favour; anything we couldn’t verify counts against it. The focus is buying and holding PEPE.
Funding rails (8.5): virtual accounts, QRIS and five e-wallets, with no Pintu-side deposit fee. It loses a little because the e-wallet charges on its FAQ date from 2021. Regulation (8.0): OJK licence, CFX/KKI membership and ISO 27001:2022 certification, all self-disclosed; we could not open the OJK register to confirm the licence number. App and UX (8.0): a 4.7 iOS rating from more than 19,000 reviews and a clean split between a beginner app and a Pro screen.
PEPE market (7.5): a rupiah pair with a low minimum, but the order book lives on Pro and the price in the simple app may include a spread nobody tells you about. Fee clarity (7.5): the Pro table is excellent, down to the CFX fee, while the Lite fee and PEPE withdrawal fee are missing. Security record (7.0): no known incident and third-party custody, but no verified proof of reserves, and a clean record is not the same as a proven one.
Pintu fees for buying and selling PEPE
Pintu changed its Pro fees on 1 October 2026, the same day Indodax reworked its all-in fee, and halved the CFX fee it passes on. The table below combines the trading fees with tax and money-movement costs, so you can see the full round trip. The tax follows PMK 50/2025: no VAT on buying, and a 0.21% final income tax on selling through a licensed domestic platform.
| Item | Fee | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Pro maker | 0.12% | From 1 Oct 2026; VIP 0.10% |
| Pro taker | 0.17% | From 1 Oct 2026; VIP 0.15% |
| CFX bourse fee | 0.00555% | Halved from 0.0111% |
| Tax on buy (VAT) | 0% | Crypto is no longer subject to VAT |
| Tax on sell (PPh) | 0.21% | Final tax, withheld automatically |
| Pintu app (Lite) fee | Not published | Check the confirm screen |
| Rupiah deposit | No Pintu fee | Bank or e-wallet may charge; min Rp 50,000 |
| Rupiah withdrawal | Rp 4,500 | Flat; minimum Rp 50,000 |
A worked example: selling Rp 1,000,000 of PEPE on Pro with a market order costs Rp 1,700 in taker fee, Rp 2,100 in tax and about Rp 56 in CFX fee, so roughly Rp 3,856 in total. The same sale as a limit order saves Rp 500. Buying is cheaper than selling because no tax applies on the way in. For the simple app, look at the final amount on the confirm screen before tapping, since that is the only place the cost shows.

Hop inHow to buy PEPE on Pintu
Buying PEPE on Pintu takes a few minutes once your KYC is approved. If you are new to crypto altogether, our beginner’s guide to buying PEPE explains the basics, including how exchange purchases differ from swapping on a DEX.
Download Pintu and verify
Install the Pintu app and complete Basic KYC. Advanced KYC raises your limits later.
Top up rupiah
Use a bank virtual account, QRIS or an e-wallet such as GoPay, OVO, DANA, ShopeePay or LinkAja. The minimum top-up is Rp 50,000.
Find PEPE
Search “PEPE” and check you have Pepe, the Ethereum meme token, not a lookalike. The simple app view shows a buy price; Pintu Pro shows the PEPE/IDR order book.
Buy from Rp 11,000
In the app, type a rupiah amount and confirm. On Pro, a limit order pays the 0.12% maker fee instead of 0.17% taker.
Hold or withdraw
PEPE can stay in your Pintu balance, or you can send it to your own Ethereum wallet. Check the network and fee on the withdraw screen and test with a small amount.
PEPE on Ethereum costs gas to move, so withdrawing a small purchase may cost a meaningful slice of it. Many buyers leave small amounts in the app and only withdraw once a position is worth protecting. When you do withdraw, our guide to PEPE wallets shows how to add the official contract to MetaMask or Trust Wallet.
Is Pintu safe?
Pintu says its assets are held with PT Kustodian Koin Indonesia (ICC), an Indonesian crypto custodian, and with Fireblocks, a widely used institutional custody provider. It also states ISO 27001:2022 certification for information security. We searched for hacks or major outages and found none. That is a good sign, but we can only say no incident was found, not that none occurred.
What Pintu lacks, like every local exchange we reviewed, is a verifiable proof of reserves. So the usual rule applies: an exchange balance is an IOU, and long-term holdings are safer in self-custody. For the bigger risk picture, including fake tokens, drainers and market swings, read is PEPE safe?
OJK licence and what it means for you
OJK took over crypto supervision from Bappebti in January 2025, and by September 2026 there were 28 licensed traders, according to Kontan’s report of an OJK briefing. Pintu’s footer says trading is carried out by PT Pintu Kemana Saja, “a licensed and regulated Digital Financial Asset Trader supervised by” OJK, and the CFX bourse lists Pintu among its licensed members. The licence number itself is not confirmed here.
Licensing has a direct money effect. Selling PEPE through a licensed local trader costs 0.21% final tax, withheld automatically. Selling through a foreign platform costs 1%, and you may have to pay it yourself if that platform isn’t an appointed collector.
Pintu pros and cons
Pintu is the most transparent of the local apps we tested, with a few blind spots that are easy to work around.
👍 What we like
- PEPE/IDR from Rp 11,000
- Full Pro fee table, including CFX fee and tax
- Flat Rp 4,500 rupiah withdrawal
- OJK-licensed, ISO 27001:2022, third-party custody
- No security incident found
👀 What to watch
- Fee in the simple app is not published
- PEPE withdrawal network and fee not published
- Order book only on Pintu Pro
- No verifiable proof of reserves
- 0.21% tax on every sale (applies to all local traders)
Alternatives, and how CEX.IO compares
Indodax is the main local alternative. It also lists PEPE/IDR, starts at Rp 10,000 and publishes a current fee for every top-up rail, but it suffered a hack in September 2024 and its current fee table is shown only in the app; see our full Indodax review. Reku and Bittime are other licensed options, while Tokocrypto has no PEPE/IDR pair. For global venues and a side-by-side table, see the PEPE exchange comparison.
CEX.IO, running since 2013, holds a US NMLS registration (#1804170) and UK FCA anti-money-laundering registration (firm 1007192). Indonesia is not on its unsupported list, but Indonesian customers deal with CEX OVRS LLC in Nevis, which has no OJK licence, and there is no rupiah pair. PEPE trades there against USD, USDT and USDC, and those books showed very thin volume on 13 October 2026.

Put plainly, for rupiah buyers CEX.IO costs more on fees and tax and offers less local protection. It is only worth considering if you specifically need dollar or stablecoin pairs, and even then check what your account actually shows: some CEX.IO pages carried a notice about paused deposits and trading on 13 October 2026, probably aimed at EU visitors.
Pintu is the easiest well-documented way to buy PEPE with rupiah. Use Pro if you care about fees, check the confirm screen if you use the simple app, and move anything you plan to hold for long to your own wallet. That combination of clarity and caution is why it earns 7.8.
Questions people ask
Can I buy PEPE on Pintu?+
Yes. Pintu has a PEPE market page that links to the PEPE/IDR pair on Pintu Pro, and the page advertises buying from Rp 11,000. We checked it on 13 October 2026.
Why is the Pepe coin price on Pintu different from other sites?+
Each exchange has its own order book, so the rupiah price on Pintu can sit slightly above or below Indodax or a global average. On 13 October 2026 the gap between Pintu and Indodax was tiny. The simple app view may also include a spread, which Pintu does not publish.
What are Pintu fees for PEPE?+
On Pintu Pro, from 1 October 2026, maker is 0.12% and taker is 0.17%, plus a CFX fee of 0.00555%. Selling also carries 0.21% final income tax; buying carries no VAT. The fee in the simpler Pintu app is not published.
Is Pintu safe?+
Pintu says it is licensed by OJK, certified to ISO 27001:2022 and keeps assets with the custodian PT Kustodian Koin Indonesia and with Fireblocks. We found no reported hack, but that is not proof none happened, and no proof of reserves was verified.
How much does it cost to withdraw rupiah from Pintu?+
A flat Rp 4,500 per withdrawal, with a minimum of Rp 50,000. Basic KYC accounts can withdraw up to Rp 500 million per day.
Is Pintu or Indodax better for PEPE?+
Both list PEPE/IDR and are OJK-supervised. Pintu publishes clearer Pro fees, charges less to withdraw rupiah and has no known breach, so we rate it 7.8. Indodax has more funding options but suffered a hack in September 2024, so it scores 7.0.
